For months, we've been staying indoors, getting little sunlight, and spending most of our time in front of computer screens. No wonder our skin isn't as radiant as usual, right? We'll share with you 5 tricks to help you achieve a fresh complexion while working from home.
Would you rather stay in bed longer than get ready for your home office? Sounds tempting! Sitting down in front of the laptop in your pajamas and without makeup may be comfortable, but it quickly leads to us feeling unmotivated and sluggish. With a refreshing shower and a thorough beauty routine, however, we start the day fresh, awake, and confident. We immediately switch into work mode, making it easier to complete our to-dos efficiently. Here are our 5 best tricks for fresh skin while working from home.

1. Anti-Blue Light Effect: With antioxidants against blue screen light
We sit in front of our laptops all day, stare at our smartphones during breaks, and watch Netflix in the evening. For our skin, the current home office situation means that it is exposed to the blue light from digital screens for many hours every day. This has the disadvantage that it penetrates deep into the skin layers, can cause damage, and accelerates the aging process. Blue light promotes the formation of free radicals, which attack skin cells and are thus responsible for the development of wrinkles and dark spots, as well as premature skin aging. Powerful antioxidants such as vitamin C, aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, or retinol help counteract this. These bind to the free radicals and render them harmless. The skin barrier is strengthened and can better defend itself against free radicals in the future. Wrinkles and dark spots disappear, and dull skin radiates freshness and rosiness again. Our Vitamin C Serum or Vitamin C Cream are ideal for this, giving the skin a beautiful glow with the full power of antioxidants.

2. Humidity, humidity, humidity!
When working from home, we sit surrounded by very dry, heated air all day. As a result, our skin loses a lot of moisture throughout the day, resulting in a pale complexion and an unpleasant feeling of tightness. It's essential to restore this missing moisture, ideally with a high-potency serum such as a hyaluronic serum or a vitamin C serum. This replenishes the skin's moisture reserves, allows the skin's protective barrier to function properly again, and ensures our cells are optimally nourished.

3. Salicylic acid against impurities and maskne
While we're mostly staying home, we still have to do the shopping, and of course, with a face mask. Many people are prone to blemishes and skin irritations due to wearing a mask. And that's on top of already dehydrated winter skin. Phew! The powerful active ingredient salicylic acid, contained in our Clear Skin Serum, helps combat this. This particularly gentle acid frees the skin of excess sebum and dead skin cells without friction. The skin is deeply cleansed, impurities are removed, and new pimples are effectively and sustainably prevented.

4. Drink enough water
This is probably not the first time you've read this, but it doesn't matter: Drinking plenty of water is one of the best tips for keeping your skin healthy and moisturized in the long term. This will ensure that your cells are sufficiently supplied with water, and the skin barrier can function properly to retain moisture in the skin for a long time. Your body loses moisture overnight, which is best replenished first thing in the morning. Not only will your skin thank you, but your entire body. Start your day with a large glass of water, then keep a 1-2 liter bottle or carafe on your desk. Ideally, take a break every 30 minutes to take a big sip of water. Tip: If you don't like the taste of water, spice it up with a squeeze of lemon or fresh herbs.

5. Face Yoga for freshness and elasticity
Face yoga is a big trend for combating sagging skin and wrinkles – and rightly so! The exercises revitalize the skin and boost circulation. The result is healthier, younger-looking skin. This also benefits us when working from home, as limited social contact means we talk and laugh less, meaning our muscles are less stressed. We'll show you three great exercises for in-between workouts:
The forehead straightenerBall your hands into fists and place them in the center of your forehead with the knuckles facing you. Apply light pressure and move your fists outward, reaching behind your temples. Repeat 4 times.
The kissing mouthCurl your mouth to one side until you feel a slight stretch. Hold briefly, then repeat on the other side. Repeat 5-10 times per side.
The mini-liftPlace your palms on your temples and pull them back parallel to each other, forming your mouth into an O. Relax your jaw as much as possible. Repeat 5 times.
