"Do you also have skin care for men?" – We get asked this question frequently. Of course, because all our products are unisex and therefore suitable for men too! We explain why we don't differentiate between men's and women's skin care in this blog post.
Even in 2022, many people consider it perfectly natural that beauty and skincare are a women's issue. Products for women are marketed with floral designs and shades of pink, while for men, there's a separate line in—of course—dark blue or black. We deliberately do things differently and instead say: Our products are for everyone.
Is men’s skin different from women’s skin?
Admittedly, a little bit. The reason for this is hormones, such as testosterone. This is present in the body of both men and women. Depending on the phase of the female cycle, testosterone levels in women fluctuate greatly. These fluctuations have a major impact on the appearance of the skin. Read more about how the female cycle affects the skin here. Men generally have higher testosterone levels and therefore thicker and more robust skin than women. They also have a higher proportion of collagen (lucky ones!) and are therefore blessed with greater skin elasticity. However, men have, on average, more sebaceous glands than women and are therefore often prone to oily and blemished skin.

So do men need different products than women?
We think not. The slight differences in our skin's texture can be addressed when it comes to skin care by differentiating between skin types (dry skin, combination skin, oily skin). Ultimately, the differences are so small – and so individual within each gender – that, in our view, there's no need to differentiate between men's and women's skincare.
