Skincare Mythos: Anti-Aging Produkte erst ab 40?

Skincare myth: Anti-aging products only for people over 40?

This is what we want: Forever smooth, firm skin with a youthful glow! But at some point, we notice in the mirror—oops!—the first small expression lines. And as charming as a few laugh lines may look, it becomes clear that normal skin aging is now becoming visible. Do we need to start using anti-aging products now? Or is it still too early for that, and we're over-treating our still-young skin?

In our blog post, we give you detailed information on why it makes sense to start with good anti-aging care at a young age.

Is there a “too early” for anti-aging products?

We can answer that question with a resounding NO! The myth persists that anti-aging products are more for women over 40. But the aging process begins earlier than we think.

From your early 20s onwards, your skin's elasticity begins to decline almost imperceptibly. This is because the network of collagen fibers shrinks and retains less moisture. This is important for making your complexion look smooth and plump. Cell division in the uppermost layer of skin also slows down from your mid-20s onwards, and the number of blood vessels that supply the skin decreases. This whole process happens so slowly that you don't notice it at first. Eventually, however, the first signs of aging will appear. With targeted and, above all, timely care, you can do a lot to delay the appearance of expression lines. That's precisely the secret: the earlier you support your skin's renewal processes, the longer it will stay youthfully firm and smooth.

By the way: The aging process is influenced one-third by genes and two-thirds by lifestyle. A healthy lifestyle is therefore a sensible complement to anti-aging care. This includes a balanced diet including 2 liters of water a day, plenty of exercise, uninterrupted sleep, and as little stress as possible. Your skin will thank you!

These anti-aging ingredients maintain your youthful appearance:

Retinol (vitamin A)

Retinol is a truly powerful anti-aging ingredient. Vitamin A stimulates both cell renewal and the important collagen production, which gives the complexion a smooth and fresh appearance. Women between the ages of 20 and 40 often experience problems with pimples or even acne. Our Retinol Serum helps eliminate these annoying skin imperfections and restore the appearance of fine pores and an even complexion. At the same time, lines and the first signs of wrinkles are visibly smoothed, and new ones are effectively prevented. When incorporated into your skincare routine at the right time, this active ingredient also protects your complexion from visible signs of aging.

Hyaluronic acid

From around the age of 20, skin slowly begins to lose moisture. The first signs of dryness often appear in the mid-20s. This is when it makes sense to use a light moisturizer, such as DAYTOX Daily Hydration with Hyaluronic Acid. Want a double dose of hyaluronic acid? Then use DAYTOX Hyaluronic Acid Serum before your day cream; it's a true thirst quencher for dehydrated skin.

Hyaluronic acid, especially short-chain hyaluronic acid, penetrates deep into the skin and compensates for the gradually increasing loss of moisture. With regular use, the skin is intensively moisturized and less prone to expression lines. This helps keep your complexion youthfully smooth and fresh for a long time.

The antioxidant: Vitamin C

Antioxidants protect the skin from harmful environmental influences, to which even young skin is exposed. Taking preventative measures early on can prevent unnecessary wrinkles and photodamage. Vitamin C products, such as our DAYTOX Vitamin C Serum or DAYTOX Vitamin C Cream, are effective free radical scavengers that largely prevent cell and tissue damage, thus also preventing the premature aging process. This prevents unsightly pigment spots and deep wrinkles from developing in the first place.
